Robert Thompson

BLACKFOOT - Robert Thompson, 61, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013, of natural causes. He was born on May 17, 1951, to Ernest and Irene Thompson, in Leupp, AZ. He attended Leupp Boarding School and Intermountain High School in Brigham City, UT. In 1982 he moved to Idaho and resided locally until he passed away. Robert married Clara Buck in 1985 in Fort Hall, ID. They were married until Clara died in early of 1989. Most of his life he worked at a general laborer. Robert was a spiritual man. He is survived by his step-father Steven Chavez of Chubbuck; mother Irene N. Chavez of Chubbuck; brother Alfred M. Thompson of Burns, OR; brother Larry M. Thompson of Leupp, AZ; sister Loretta M. Thompson of Burns, OR; brother Harry M. Thompson of Nixon, NV; brother Henry M. Thompson of Fort Hall; sister Marley Thompson of Fort Hall; brother Tommy M. Thompson of Boise; and sister Marie Thompson of Mesa, AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Lorraine, and also his wife Clara. Funeral services for Robert will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 11 am at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Visitation will be held at Colonial on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 6-8pm also one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will take place in the Cedars Cemetery Fort Hall, Idaho.
