Russell Wayne Lathrom

Russell Wayne Lathrom, 53, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 5, 2011 at a local medical center. Wayne was born on April 29, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Athel Murrell Lathrom and Edna Fayola Dozier. The family moved to Pocatello, Idaho while he was a young boy. It was in Pocatello that Wayne grew up and attended schools graduating from Highland High School.

He then attended Idaho State University enrolling in the culinary arts program and then decided to take an employment opportunity in St. Anthony with the YACC. It was shortly after that Wayne became disabled and was unable to work.

Wayne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved to work with his hands and crafting knives was a favorite. He was also excellent with any kind of animal; domestic or wild.

Wayne is survived by; sister, Deedee Lathrom; brother, Bruce Lathrom; neice, Nikki (Rowdy) Chandler and their children, Ashlynn, Kylar and Chase; nephew, Jaston (Tiffany) Sherer; nephew, Dominique Sherer; and niece, Tia (Scott) Sherer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
