Pocatello-Sandra Kay Robinson, 62, passed away peacefully in her home on March 09, 2011. She was born on November 27, 1948 to Ruby and Herman Baade in Pocatello, Idaho. She was attending Alameda Junior High, when she met the love of her life, Roy Robinson. They were married when Sandy was just 15 years old. She spent the early years of their marriage working as a custodian for both Idaho State University and Bannock Memorial Hospital. Sandy and Roy had three handsome sons, Rick, Paul, and Michael. She loved staying at home to care for her children and quickly discovered her love of quilting. She spent the latter part of her life sewing quilts for her grandchildren and selling Avon. Sandy is survived by her children, Rick (Stephanie), Paul (Tawna), and Michael (Kim) Robinson all of Pocatello, brothers, Charlie (Pocatello) and Bruce Baade (Alaska), and sisters, Lois Payne (Missouri), Carla Preunetta and Debbie Gallegos both of Pocatello. She had 7 beautiful grandchildren, Megan, Ashlynn, Mandalyn, Robert, Kaitlyn, Kelsi and Kynnah. Sandy loved her grandchildren dearly and spent many days reading stories and watching them playing video games on the Wii. Sandy was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband Roy. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South 4 th Ave. Funeral services will take place Monday, March 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the LDS Church 18 th Ward located at 3444 Hawthorne Road. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Laurie and Riley at Access Hospice, and their staff, who for the last year had been helping care for Sandy. Words cannot express the gratitude and thanks for the love and care you have shown our mother. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
