Saundra R. Swallow, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend was unexpectedly called home on October 13, 2013 in Sun Lakes, AZ, She was our earthly angel; we could always count on her being there to help when we were faced with troubled time. She was one that seemed to provide the ray of hope and the light of love. She's left so many wonderful memories she will be missed by her family and all her friends. Saundra was born June 2nd, 1937 at Jackson Lake in Wyoming inside a small cabin on the lake. She is the daughter of Leonard "Boots" Raymond Allen and Gail Garner Allen. She has two brothers Dick Allen and "Little" Joe Allen. After growing up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming she moved to Pocatello, Idaho where she met her eternal soul mate Donald E. Swallow. They were married in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple and enjoyed a life of treasured love. From their union, together they raised 3 amazing sons; Perry Swallow & Nicki, Leonard Swallow and Terry Swallow & Karen. Saundra loved the Lord and served in numerous positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Don & Saundra love serving together and were currently serving as stake missionaries in the San Tan Indian branch. . She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Joe Allen and three great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Don, her sons Perry (Nicki), Leonard, and Terry (Karen), Brother Dick Allen, as well as Diana Swallow, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held this Sunday, October 20th from 7pm to 9pm at the Colonial funeral home 2005 South 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Funeral services will be held Monday the 21st at 11:00am with a family viewing from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to the services at the LDS Highland 11th ward building 2000 S. Fairway drive in Pocatello, Idaho. Interment (burial) will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
