Scott Bird passed away at his home after a valiant battle with cancer on June 28, 2021.
Scott was born in Pocatello on Oct 5th, 1953 to Gladys and Leroy Bird. He graduated high school from Pocatello High and attended Idaho State University. He work at AMI and later for On Semi Conductor and retired April 2013 after forty years.
On April Fool’s day in 1985 he married the love of his life Sonia in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in Pocatello until 2014 and then moved to Inkom.
Scott loved to spend time with his buddy’s hunting in Salmon and was an excellent marksman. He loved tinkering with reloading and making his guns shoot just right. In the old days Scott loved to play in the mud and race his Toyota Land Cruiser. As time went on the Land Cruiser was replaced by ATVs and Razors.
Scott lived life with a smile on his face and was a friend to everyone. He was always willing to lend a hand and could fix just about anything. He was an excellent woodworker and metal worker.
Scott was a great dancer. Any time Scott, Sonia and their friends would go out dancing Sonia would have to wait in line to dance with her own husband as all the ladies wanted a dance with him.
Scott and Sonia had memorable summer parties every August where Scott was the life of the party.
Scott is survived by his wife Sonia. He was preceded in death by parents.
As per Scotts wishes there will be no services. Scott’s Last Party will be held at the Bird Nest on August 21, 2021.
