She attended Emerson Elementary, Irving Junior High, and Pocatello High School. She met her soul mate Lyle at a Sutphin family reunion when she was about 13 years old. In 1957 when Lyle moved to Idaho, after a short engagement they were married on his birthday October 18. They have two children who she loves with all of her heart, Stephen and Kathleen. She was dedicated to her family and worked several different jobs. She operated a daycare from her home for 23 years until 1985. After helping Lyle to recover from an industrial accident, she then dedicated her time as youth advisor for the local junior bowling association until 2001. During the same time she was an officer of the Pocatello Womens Bowling Association and the Idaho State Womens Bowling Association. She attended 25 national tournaments representing our local association. She was hired as the association manager and worked diligently for each and every member until the day she died. She loved her job and all the people and friends she acquired over the years. The greatest joy in her life was the arrival of her grandchildren, Stephen, Jacob, Kyndra and Christin. She would do anything for them and did. She was blessed to live to see her first great grandson, Ayden, who arrived June 5. Her hobbies included bowling, camping, fishing, ceramics, gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, making her famous frozen jams, and spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her husband Lyle, her son Stephan and daughter Kathleen and her four grandchildren: Stephen, Jacob, Kyndra, and Christin; and one great-grandson, Ayden. She is also survived by her sisters, Virginia Dryden, Patricia Jones, Barbara Jacobson, and Chris Freeberg; her brothers, Galen, Gerald and Kevins Sutphin and Kreg Sparks.
