Virginia L. Akers

Virginia L. "Tiny" Akers, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on February 11, 2017.

Tiny was born November 25, 1935 in Pocatello, Idaho, a daughter of Robert Taylor and Mary Leda (Terry) Mathews.

Tiny spent many years in Ogden, Utah working as a bartender. She was involved playing pool in competitive leagues and loved to dance. She married Jack Lloyd Akers.

Tiny was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Mathews; her siblings, Marcella F. Stoddart; Eugene A. Rademacher; Lloyd J. Rademacher; Larry S. Mathews; and Donald Rademacher. She is survived by her nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial gathering and viewing will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Mountain View Cemetery.
