Wanda Faye Shaffer Burrup, 72, of Pocatello, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012. She was born November 7, 1940 to Daniel Isaac Shaffer and Helen Jessie Grotbo. She was the second of four children. Wanda was raised in Inkom Idaho; she attended Inkom Elementary, and Marsh Valley High School. After spending the day surrounded by family she passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of November 23, 2012 at Highland Hills Assisted Living. She married Glade Earl Burrup September 25, 1959 In the Logan Utah LDS Temple. They were blessed with four children Jimmy Wayne, Scott Earl, Cynthia Dawn, and Douglas Glade. She worked at Alvored's waiting tables which was located where Prime Time Auctions is currently located. She worked at Grand Central and also for AMI Semiconductor for over 20 years. Wanda is survived by three of her children Jim W. (Denise) Burrup of Pocatello, Scott E. (Teri) Burrup of Inkom, Cindy D (Robert)Catmull- Reed of Eugene Oregon her brothers, Eddie (Beatrice) Shaffer, Danny (Natalie) Shaffer, her sister Barbara (Sheldon) Ward, 11 Grandchildren, 7 and 8 / 9 Great-Grandchildren as well as several other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Glade Earl Burrup, her parents Daniel Isaac Shaffer and Helen Jessie Shaffer, son Douglas Glade, son-in-law John Catmull, granddaughter Laci Catmull, and Great -Grandson Galbon Mansfield Wanda enjoyed her family including her grandkids and great grandkids, camping, snowmobiling (Stump thumpers), family reunions, crafts, (tole painting, ceramics, flower arranging), holidays (her favorites were Halloween and Christmas.) Her family, friends and neighbors really enjoyed her many decorations. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The family has many great memories of the fun times and the Love that they all shared. Her presence will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 27, at 11 a.m. in the LDS Skyline Ward located at 150 Snow Peak Blvd. in Inkom. Family and friends are invited to visit with the family prior to the services on Monday November 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 South Fourth Pocatello Idaho also prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wanda Burrup Memorial Fund, at Ireland Bank.
