Zella Lucile Rane Hall, 84, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 20, 2010 at The Gables. She was born August 7, 1925 to Elmer St. Clair and Verna Adeal (Lenroot) Rane in Pocatello, Idaho. She was raised and educated in Pocatello, attending Pocatello High School. Zella earned and received a degree in Cosmetology from Idaho State University. She married Donald Charles Hall September 23, 1944 in Tyhee, Idaho and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1946. They were blessed with five children: Kenneth, Michael, Penny, Brad and Pam. She worked and managed many years in the local cafes in Marsh Valley and Pocatello. Zella loved sewing, travel, fishing, cooking and was famous for her pies. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her calling as librarian in her ward. She loved doing genealogy but most of all she loved her family very much and cherished the times when they would all get together. She is survived by her children: Kenneth (Debra) Hall, Michael C. (Sue) Hall, and Penny (Charlie) Bullock, all of McCammon, Bradley S. Hall, Pocatello and Pam D. (Brad) Nilson, Colton, WA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren with one on the way; siblings, James Rane, Carol Ann Basil, Beth Palmer and John Palmer. Zella was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Ben and LeGrand Rane and step-sister, Yvonne Barber and a friend and sister-in-law, Velma Bullock. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at the McCammon Stake Center. The viewing will be held Sunday evening, May 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave, Pocatello and again from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church on Monday prior to the service.
