Allan Dean Morrison, 75, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on September 18, 2025, surrounded by family.
Allan was born on November 14, 1949, in Spokane, Washington, to Dean and Leslie Morrison. At the age of five, he and his family moved to Pocatello, where he would spend the next 70 years building a life rooted in family, friendships, and a deep love for the outdoors.
He attended Idaho State University, where he studied Instrumentation. It was during his time at ISU that he met the love of his life, Kay Anderson. The two were married in Pocatello in 1970 and shared 55 years together. After graduating from ISU he began working at AMI Semiconductor and worked there for 36 years.
The couple enjoyed their cabin in Island Park for 27 years, a place where Allan could pursue his passions in nature and time with loved ones. Once retired, they spent their winters in Arizona. They later purchased a home in Lake Havasu, spending 5 years there and embracing new experiences.
Allan was an avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, and golfing. His passion for wildlife and conservation was reflected in his proud membership with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Ducks Unlimited. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his dedication to family, and his love for the Idaho landscape that was so much a part of his life.
Allan is survived by his wife, Kay Morrison; his children Derek (Hayley) Morrison and Lisa (Mitch) Walsh; grandchildren Brandon (Gina) Morrison and Hailey (Parker) Young; step-grandchildren Kaden and Konner Orcutt; and his great-granddaughter, Peyton Morrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Leslie Morrison.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Cancer Center and Heritage Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
