Alvin E. Kujath

Alvin Emil Kujath, 91, passed away on August 18, 2025 in Pocatello, ID. Alvin was born on January 28, 1934 in Fairbury, Nebraska.

After graduating from high school, he went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad. On June 10, 1956, Alvin married Shirley Franzen and they were married for 68 years before Shirley passed away on August 1, 2024.

Al served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. After serving in the Army, he returned to work for the Railroad until he retired in 1994. Al was a member of the Blackfoot American Legion.

Al is survived by his daughter, Dena (Robert) Ruffridge of Chubbuck, ID; son, Todd Kujath of Pocatello, ID; 2 grandchildren, Jacob Ruffridge and Andrew (Maria) Ruffridge; and 2 great-grandchildren, Paisley and Phynix.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Kujath.

Inurnment will take place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 2651 Cromwell Lane, Blackfoot, Idaho 83221.
