April Faye Fanning Domingo, 48, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2026, at the Gateway Transitional Care Center in Pocatello, Idaho. She had been recuperating after unexpectedly suffering a sudden medical emergency on October 7, 2025.
April was born in Nuremberg, Germany, where her father was stationed while serving in the US Army. After living briefly in Virginia, Missouri, and Utah, she moved to Pocatello, Idaho, in 1983. She attended school in Pocatello and graduated from Highland High School in 1994.
April took ballet lessons for several years and eventually did pointe work, which requires years of training to build immense foot and ankle strength. She danced with the New York Ballet at a show in Bozeman, Wyoming. She was also active in the drill team in junior high school and high school. She was a Highland Lassie while attending high school and part of the choir.
After working in the service industry in Idaho and Utah, she moved to Denver, Colorado, to attend college at Arapahoe Community College. She earned an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Mortuary Science. She served an apprenticeship at Parker Funeral Home in Parker, Colorado. After the apprenticeship, she moved back to Pocatello, Idaho.
While living in Denver, Colorado, she met Brian Cox. Together, they brought Marissa Cox into the world.
She married Tony Domingo in Pocatello, Idaho, on December 22, 2006. They have two children, Marissa Lynn Cox and Quinn Antone Domingo.
April leaves behind her husband, Tony; two children, Marissa and Quinn; her mother, Vicki Fanning; and two brothers, Reed Berrett Fanning and William John Fanning.
She was preceded in death by her father, Reed Berrett Fanning.
Her friends and family described her as a light that will never be replaced, a very caring and loving person with a smile everyone loved, and a light in times of darkness. She was always ready to reach out a hand to help others, very seldom thinking of herself.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
