Ardith C. Ballard

Ardith Catherine Homer Ballard passed from this earthly life on August 12, 2025.

Her parents Benjamin Walter Homer & Catherine Mackley Homer welcomed her into their home on September 7, 1941 in Driggs, Idaho. She had two older siblings, Edith Faye and Benjamin David (Benny) Homer. Her family loved to sing and play music. Later a brother came into the family, Randy Joe Douglass.

She then met our Dad, Gerald Lynn Ballard at the Shady Lane trailer court in Pocatello. They married on October 21, 1957. To this union came five daughters and 2 honorary daughters. Jeralyn (Val) Sharp. Cindy Ballard Ethington, Janette (Chad) Miller, Julie (R.C.) McCann, Jolene Ballard Kiggins, Susan (Rod) Sparrow and Laurie (Brandon) Bailey. 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Ardith and Jerry spent 67 years together through many ups and downs, but they did it side by side.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11 am at the LDS church, 4773 Independence Ave. Chubbuck, ID, with a viewing for one hour prior.

Burial will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11 am at the Victor Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Victor, ID.
