Obituary

Barbara Janet Hannah passed away peacefully on the morning of June 4th, 2026, at the age of 90. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on May 12, 1936, Barbara was the only child of Harold Willis Crooks and Mary Kinnaird. Her mother remarried, and at age 8, she welcomed a beloved sister, Caroline, with whom she remained close throughout her life. At age 18, while visiting family in California, Barbara met William (Bill) Hannah. They married on August 6, 1955, and to their union came two children, Robert and Tammy. Their family enjoyed camping, exploring historical sites, and making memories.

Barbara had an unquenchable thirst for learning and was an avid reader. She also loved writing short stories, knitting, crocheting, and crafting. She was known for creating beautiful blankets, sweaters, hats, and slippers for family and friends. Barbara also enjoyed watching pro baseball, especially the Seattle Mariners, and loved caring for her dogs and watching the birds that visited her home.

Her faith in Jesus Christ was central to her life, and she found great joy in studying the Bible. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Known for her kindness, sharp mind, sense of humor, and caring heart, Barbara made many dear friends, especially in her later years, when she loved and was deeply loved by the residents and staff at Brookdale Assisted Living and Serenity Transitional Care and Nursing Home.

Barbara will be remembered for her faith, generosity, creativity, and the love and friendship she shared with everyone around her. She will be greatly missed. We express our deep appreciation to all who helped in Barbara's caregiving.

She is survived by her sister, Caroline Grace (David); her son, Robert Hannah (Terri); and her daughter, Tammy Hannah.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 1999.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at Wilks Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A Funeral Service will follow at 10:15 am, also at Wilks Funeral Homes. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Park, 2296 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
