Beth Elaine Hill

Beth E Hill, 89, passed away on September 13, 2026.

Beth Hill was born on April 22, 1937, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Charles and Helen Baily. Beth was raised on a farm in Hansen, Idaho where she established the work ethic that carried her throughout her life.

Beth attended Hansen High School. It was during high school that Beth met Norman Hill. They both graduated from Hansen High School in 1955.

Norm and Beth married in Hansen, Idaho on April 7, 1957. One year after they married, they moved to Pocatello, Idaho where Beth was employed by Idaho Power. Beth had a distinguished career at Idaho Power, ultimately retiring after more than 30 years with the company.

In the early 1970’s Norm and Beth purchased a small acreage just outside of town. Beth was especially fond of Arabian horses, and they also boarded horses for others that enjoyed horses.

Beth and Norm took great pleasure in spending time on the farm and all the work that was required there. At the time of Beth’s passing, she still lived on the farm even though Norm had passed in late 2023.

During and after Beth’s career, she was active in the Zonta Club, United Way, Pocatello Regional Hospital Board, Pocatello Chiefs, Rotary Club, Pocatello Rodeo Association, and Pocatello Chamber. Beth and Norm received great satisfaction from their involvement with the different organizations and making Pocatello a better place.

In retirement, Beth and Norm were able to travel in their RV with very close friends.

Beth is survived by two of her brothers (Everett and Carl), her son Darrel (Julie), and their children Matt, Nicole (Tyler), and Russel (Bonnie). Russ and Bonnie’s children Hadassah and Lincoln; son Galen (Heidi) and their children Tanner (Shelby) and Delaney (Parker).

Beth was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Eldon and Mike.

Beth has been cremated and funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on October 16, 2026, at Wilks Funeral Home 211 West Chubbuck Road at 11am. A visitation will be held prior beginning at 10:00 am.  Beth will be honored with a tree ceremony at Taysom Rotary Park following the service.  Burial will be at 10:00 am on October 23, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls, Idaho.
