Betty Lou Rockett

Betty Lou Rockett, 68, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and niece, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014, at her home in Chubbuck, Idaho after battling cancer. She was born in northern New York. She spent more than half of her life in upstate New York. In 1985, she moved to Idaho. She loved Idaho and the slower pace of life. She was a talkative, friendly person. She had a lifelong career as a beautician, working at the JC Penney Salon in Chubbuck for 20+ years.

She is survived by her daughter, Meredith (Rick) Johnson; grandchildren, Malori, Sarah, Emily, Kevin and Sutton Johnson; Aunt, Margaret Wynkoop; sister, Bonnie Atkins; brothers, Steve and Ricky Poirier.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Poirier and Wanda Atkins, also by her brother Ronnie Atkins.

Per her request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
