Beverly Jean Quine Higgins, 73, passed away on July 28, 2022, at a care center in Blackfoot, ID. She was born on August 30, 1948, to Thomas Frederick Quine and Marjorie Chester Quine. She was the oldest to siblings, Susan Quine and Douglas Chester Quine, who passed away in 2019.
Beverly was raised in Pocatello all her life, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1967. Beverly worked as a CNA at the local nursing homes for many years.
On January 7, 1974, she married the love of her life, Archie Higgins, Jr. They spent many years together, traveling and gambling. Beverly collected music and movies and was a complete all-out fan of Elvis Presley. Beverly was a member of and held the title of Queen for TOPS (take off pounds sensibly), which she enjoyed with friends and her mother.
Beverly is survived by her sister, Susan Quine of Tuckahoe, NY; nephew, Walker Quine of Raleigh, NC; cousin, Virginia (Ginger) Chester of Pocatello; and step granddaughter, Jessica Evans of Blackfoot; and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Frederick Quine and Marjorie Chester Quine; brother, Douglas Chester Quine; husband, Archie Higgins, Jr; and many others.
The family would like to thank Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing Home for all their care and support. The immediate family would like to say thank you to Jessica Evans for all she did for Beverly.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Chapel, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10 am at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
