Boyd Richard Clark

Boyd Clark, 74, passed away on June 2, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on November 11, 1951, in Malad, Idaho, to Cecil Ray Clark and Erma Richards Clark.

Boyd grew up ranching and farming in and around Malad, Idaho. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying horseback riding, hunting, fishing, and gardening. In school, he was an avid sportsman and participated in as many sports as he could. Boyd held a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and the restoration of Christ’s church on earth. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Scotland from 1971 to 1973.

He met his forever love, Tamara Clark, at Ricks College, and they were sealed on June 14, 1974 in the Oakland California temple. After completing trade school as a machinist, Boyd worked for Rockwell, Bucyrus-Erie, Simplot, and finally for the Specific Manufacturing Capability project at the Idaho National Laboratory. Boyd was a skillful gardener and cherished scouting, camping, and serving others. He dedicated many weekend hours to helping neighbors and participating in service projects, always involving his two sons. His absolute favorite thing in life was spending time with his grandchildren.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Tamara; his children, David, April, and Michael (Leah); his older sister, Bonnie McCann (John); and his younger brother, Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Ray Clark and Erma Richards Clark, and his brother, Delon Clark.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 801 N Rapid Creek Road, Inkom, Idaho. Viewings will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, June 12 and prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow the service at Inkom Cemetery,
