Carol Ann McNabb peacefully passed away on February 23, 2026, at her home. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her Dear husband Rodney, and one brother Udell Hedstrom.
She is survived by her sons Pat (Vanessa) and Brian (Heather), her grandchildren Ridge and Trey; one brother Duane (Betty Sue) Hedstron, and sister-in-law Susan Hedstrom.
She was born in Logan, Utah, on December 31, 1944, to Donald C. Hedstrom and Anna M. Blaser Hedstrom.
She spent her early childhood years growing up between Logan, Utah and Daniels, Idaho, where her father worked the family farm, finally moving to Pocatello in 1949.
Her formative years were spent living in Portneuf Park and then moving across the river to Riverside Drive. She was dearly loved by her grandmother Kate, who Carol loved and spent a lot of time with her, especially when Grandma Kate developed cancer. While at Irving Jr.High School, Carol played the accordion and practiced at the piano that dad bought for her. Carol attended Pocatello High School where she sang in the choir. While in high school, Carol met Rodney and on October 23, 1962, they were married in Blackfoot, Idaho.
At an early age Carol was taught to work, which became a lifelong attitude. With her parents both working full-time jobs and with two younger brothers to watch over, Carol was given many responsibilities at a young age. It served her well later in life. She worked as a babysitter, waitress, cashier, and finally grocery manager at Winco, where she retired after years of employment.
She was content with the simple things of life:
Staying at home tending to her plants and enjoying her children and grandchildren. She will always be remembered and missed.
We love you, Carol.
