Remembering the Beautiful Life of Carol Reyes
February 8, 1968 – July 3, 2026. Pocatello Idaho
With deeply sorrowful yet profoundly grateful hearts, we share that our beautiful Carol Reyes passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026. She left this world as she lived in it—wrapped in grace and surrounded by the enduring love of the family she cherished so dearly.
Her Early Days and Family Roots
Carol’s story began on February 8, 1968, when she brought pure joy into the lives of her devoted parents, Candelario and Hepolita Cantu. Growing up, Carol grew up in a home full of laughter, warmth and love. She was blessed to be the second youngest of five sisters and a beloved brother. Her gentle nature and bright smile followed her from the classrooms of Tyhee Elementary and Hawthorne Middle School to the hallways of Highland High School, where she graduated in 1986.
A Beautiful Love Story & Family
In 1992, Carol married the love of her life, Rafael Reyes. Together, they shared a beautiful marriage, building a life of simple pleasures and deep happiness between Pocatello and Chubbuck. Their beautiful bond grew to encompass two wonderful children, Brianna Marie and Rafael Nicholas. Carol’s children were her heart’s greatest joy, and she poured endless love into guiding, supporting, and fiercely protecting them. Carol’s family grew again with the addition of a son-in-law, Javi, whose kindness and unwavering support quickly made him a treasured part of Carol’s family. Carol’s heart always had room for one more. When a stray pup named Max crossed her path, Carol and her family added him to the bunch. showing him what it truly meant to belong. Max grew under her tender care to become a fiercely loyal and member of the family.
Carol’s Career
Carol was well versed in many fields from her time working at Vickers Western Store, Payless Shoes, Winco Foods, LabCorp, Bingham Memorial Hospital, O’Dells Furniture Store, Idaho Skin Institute, Idaho Hand Institute and Bankers Life and Casualty. To know Carol was to know a woman who lived to lift others up. She found a passion in Helath and Life and Insurance. Where she poured her heart into the communities she loved so well, spending years traveling across Southeast Idaho—from Pocatello to Blackfoot, Burley, Twin Falls, Montpelier, Soda Springs, and Inkom.
For Carol, her work wasn't just a career; it was a quiet ministry of compassion. She stood by countless families as a comforting guide through navigating insurance, and she took special care in gently holding the hands of seniors as they transitioned into Medicare.
Rest, Sweet Carol
Though Carol has stepped quietly into her eternal rest, the warmth of her spirit will never truly leave us. She served her community beautifully, loved her family fiercely, and left this world a softer, brighter place. She will be profoundly and deeply missed.
