Cheryl Ruby Moore, a beloved resident of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026, at the age of 75, at Portneuf Medical Center due to unexpected heart problems.
Born on April 20, 1951, to Leonard Gifford Moore and Mary Effie Moore, Cheryl was the fourth of six children. Her childhood was filled with the spirit of the outdoors and a deep love for horses, which led her to be crowned Rodeo Queen of Fremont County. After graduating from school in Rigby, Idaho, she began her life as a wife and mother in Pocatello. For 27 years, she was married to Ricky Robinson, with whom she shared two cherished children, Ryan and Rishay. She was immensely proud of them and their families.
Cheryl earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Idaho State University.
Cheryl's zest for life was evident in everything she did. She cherished the warmth of the sun and the joy of being outdoors, especially when surrounded by her adored family and grandchildren. Dancing was a lifelong passion for Cheryl, from square dancing and jazz to performing with her NKA group. She also found great joy and friendship in activities like golf, Zumba, walking, and pickleball. Cheryl made her lifelong dream come true in 2023 with a trip to Europe, where she got to see all the great sites in person.
Cheryl’s legacy of love and kindness lives on through her children and grandchildren: Ryan (LeeAnn) Robinson, who are parents to Riley, Isaac, Ella, and Luke; and Rishay (Jerrod) Ackley, who are parents to Ronald, Saxon, and Triton. She is also survived by her siblings, Neal (Sheri) Moore of Springfield, Oregon, and Celia (Berry) Spaulding of Burley, Idaho.
She was lovingly welcomed into heaven by her parents, Leonard Gifford Moore and Mary Effie (Lees) Moore; her brothers, Gene Arthur Moore and Lee Oliver Moore; and her sister, Lola Joy Moore.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1701 Bartz Drive, Pocatello, ID, with a viewing prior, beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow the service at Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, 4023 Ririe Highway, Rigby, Idaho.
Cheryl will be forever remembered for her radiant smile and the boundless kindness she shared with everyone she met. We will miss you dearly, Cheryl.
