Claire L. Nice

Claire Leola Nice, 78, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away at the hospital, surrounded by family, on Monday, August 3, 2026, and returned home to her eternal home.

Claire was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, on June 4, 1948, the 5th and youngest child of 5 children, born to Adolph Severin Andersen and Leola Simpson Moore Andersen. She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1966 and attended beauty school at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.

Claire met the love of her life, Jimmy Louis Nice, and they married July 3, 1969. She was a mother to three children: Machelle Anne Nice-Larson, Truli Kristina Nice Sewell, and Jim Junior Nice. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, sewing - making dresses and suits for her family, painting, spending time with family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking family and friends out on their boat, and teaching many how to waterski. She was a great example of service to others, serving as a Sunday school teacher and in various other callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Claire was mostly known for working 11 years at the Twin Falls County Recorder's office. She also worked as a parts person and always talked about how much she enjoyed that job, as a hearing aid consultant for Miracle Ear, and at Everton Mattress.

Claire is survived by her daughters; Machelle Anne Nice-Larson, Truli (Terry) Kristina Nice Sewell, her grandchildren; Ashley (Alex) Serrano, Chaz Larson, Joshua (Sierra) Jim Larson, Sariah Larson, Miranda Lahn, Tavian Larson-Robertson, her great-grandchildren; Alexis Serrano, Adrian Serrano, Damon Secreto, Emberli Larson, Serenity, Belle, Eve, and Amos. She is also survived by her sister, Shana (Marvin) Pierson.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Jimmy Louis Nice, her son; Jim Junior Nice, her parents, Adolph and Leola Andersen, her siblings; Kent Andersen, Terry Andersen, Carol Obenauer, and her grandchildren; Ian M. Nice, twins Justin and Spencer Nice, and Raquel Nice.

She is finally in the arms of her loving husband, Jimmy, which she missed and wanted to be with the last almost 8 years. I'm sure they are dancing in heaven.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Wilks Funeral Homes, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A viewing will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Wilks Funeral Homes, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301, and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will take place at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 17, 2026, in the Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls, Idaho. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed.
