Dale "Lump" Christensen, 58, passed away at his home on June 23, 2010. Affectionately known as "Lump the Grump" by many, dad had a big heart. Born May 1, 1952, in Van Nuys, CA, he graduated in 1970 from Antelope Valley High. He proudly worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 21 yrs. Dad found happiness roaring down the road, enjoying the views from his bikes. When he wasn't riding, you could find him talking about "the real deal" at NightWing Motorcycle Shop. He loved his bikes, old cars, natural medicine, and his cat, Chewy. Dad married Terrie Ebeling in 1978. They had one daughter, Ivy Marie. They were later divorced. He is survived by his daughter, Ivy (Michigan) and 4 lovely grandchildren, 2 brothers Ken (Washington) and Len (California), and 1 sister Janet (Texas). He was preceded in death by his father, Myron Christensen, and mother, Shirley Bundy. He will be sorely missed. A motorcycle ride in his honor will be on Thursday the July 1st, beginning at the old NightWing Shop at 6:13pm and ending at Raymond Park for a memorial. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the National MS Society at http://main.nationalmssociety.org/goto/lump. He will be sorely missed.
