Dale Andrew Shook

Dale Andrew Shook, 84, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was born June 28, 1941, in Sharon, Pennsylvania to Clara and Harold Shook.

At age 6 his family moved to California where he was raised in the Whitter and La Habra areas until he moved to Southeastern Idaho in 1964, then to Las Vegas, NV in 2019.

He married Victoria Werner from Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1962. 17 years and three children later they divorced.

In 1979 he married Lola Olsen (Rowe) from McCammon, bringing into his life a stepson Bruce and stepdaughter Cindy. Lola passed away in 2012.

Eight years later Dale married Linda Ence (Willis) from Antelope, CA on March 21, 2021, in Catalina, CA.

Dale served in the U.S. Coast Guard performing with the Coast Guard Band, after which he was stationed on a 95ft Patrol Boat Anti-warfare Cutter with a sea mission of homeland security, law enforcement and search and rescue. He received an Honorable Discharge and was an American Legion lifetime member.

He worked as a Mechanical Engineering Design for various major corporations and contractors in Nuclear, Aerospace, Material Handling, and Commercial Building disciplines.

Dale is survived by his wife Linda, his brother Lyle (Sandi) Shook of Kerrville, Tx; sister Roseann Larsen of Bonnots Mill, Mo; his sons: Jaxson (Chrstina) McKenna Lawrence, KS; and David Shook of Firth, ID; step-son Bruce (Michele) Olsen of Pocatello, ID; step-daughter Cindy Robbins of Pocatello, ID; and stepsons: Matthew (Sherri) Ence of Minden, NV; Marc (Barbara) Ence of Sacramento, CA; Delbert (Jennifer) Ence of Provo, UT; Mitchell (Karalee) Ence of Roseville, CA; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Harold Shook; his daughter Katherine “KC” Shook; his grandson, Michael Andrew Shook; and his previous wives Victoria and Lola.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 801 Rapid Creek Road, Inkom, ID. Viewings will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday, April 10 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID and at 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow the service at the Norton Cemetery, 8787 Old Highway 91, McCammon, ID.
