David Charles Enderle, 78, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
David "Dave" was born to Mary (Hauck) and Joseph Enderle on April 27, 1948, in Dickinson, ND. He attended elementary and high school in Taylor, ND. On October 30, 1970, Dave married Carol Weber, and together they raised five children: Heather (Doug) Kooren, Jennifer (Greg) Jung, Jason (Jennifer) Enderle, Michael (Jenna) Enderle, and Mitch (Ann) Enderle. In 1978, the family moved to South Heart, ND where they lived for 14 years. Dave worked for Fisher Industries for over four decades, where he left briefly to work in the Black Hills gold mines, but then returned to Fisher Industries for his remaining years before retirement.
Dave worked hard to provide for his large family and instilled that same work ethic in all of his children. In 1992, Dave and Carol, along with their three boys still living in the home, moved to Spearfish, SD, where they resided until 2019. Wanting a more temperate climate, they moved to Twin Falls, ID. After officially retiring, Dave and Carol took their dream vacation to Alaska. In 2024, Dave lost the love of his life, Carol. Her passing left a deep emptiness in his life, and he missed her every single day. He even got his first and only tattoo in her honor, a permanent reminder of the woman he loved so deeply.
Dave was a particular man who liked things to be just so. His family shared many laughs about his cleaning habits and how he could never stay away from home too long because his grass would grow out of control. Dave and Carol loved spending time at the casino in Deadwood, SD, and in Wendover, NV. They loved their large family dearly, even when things would get crazy and loud with all the grandchildren. Some wonderful family memories were made in the Beartooth Mountains in Wyoming and at a family cabin rental in Brainerd, MN where the entire family stayed together under one roof. Dave's famous line to the grandchildren, young or old, was "runners and whiners outside."
Dave is survived by his five children and his grandchildren: Alex and Hannah Kooren; Landen, Ireland, and Aiden (Macy) Jung; Zach (Chase) Enderle; Kyleigh Enderle; Lidia, Charlie, and Eleanor Enderle; and Jackson Enderle, along with his great-granddaughter, Scotta Abfalter. He is also survived by his siblings, Sylvia (Pat) Maxey, James (Phyllis) Enderle, Cindy Mosby, Rick Enderle, Mike Enderle, and Becky (Rob) Gunwall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Enderle; his beloved wife, Carol; his granddaughter, Faith Enderle; and his brother-in-law, Mike Mosby.
Dave will be deeply missed by his children and their families. Following Carol's passing, the family cherished the time they spent together, celebrating graduations and weddings as one another's support. Although he will be missed, there is peace in knowing he is reunited with Carol, Faithy, and his parents.
In keeping with Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private celebration of life will be held for his family.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family in the guest book section below.
