David John Christensen

David J. Christensen, a cherished husband, father, and respected member of the Pocatello community, left this world on October 25, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on April 26, 1948, in Pocatello, Idaho, David's life was a testament to his intelligence, handiness, and creativity, qualities that he carried with pride throughout his life.

After serving his country as a Seabee in the Navy, David found his calling as a foreman and electrician for the Union Pacific Railroad. His work was more than a job; it was a reflection of his dedication to the community and his passion for contributing to the world around him. His colleagues knew him as a man who could be counted on, whether in times of crisis or calm.

David's interests were as varied as his skills. An avid outdoorsman, he found solace and joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. His love for the natural world was a constant in his life, and he instilled this appreciation in his sons, with whom he shared many adventures under the open skies. David's zest for life was also evident in his love for Disneyland, a place where his creative spirit could soar as freely as the rides that captivated his imagination.

David's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, hard work, and a dash of magic from his favorite place on Earth. As his family and friends gather to remember him, they will find comfort in the memories of a life well-lived and a man well-loved. David J. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Rd, Chubbuck, ID 83202. The Military Honors will begin at 4:30 p.m.
