Dawnelle Lynn Roberts, 61, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 after fighting her health for many years. Dawn was born on February 2, 1962 in Pocatello, Idaho to Anna Mae Schein-Stewart and Marvin Schein. She lived in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho with her family from 1974 until graduating from Marsh Valley High School in 1981. She moved back to Pocatello, Idaho where she continued to live until her passing.
She married Glen Wilson in 1982, and had two wonderful children, Kimberly and Cody. They were later divorced. She married Steven Roberts in 1998 and gained two step children, Ryan and Amy. They were later divorced.
Dawn loved the outdoors, especially fishing, camping and cross country skiing. A few years ago, while being blind and an amputee, rafted down the Snake River, which was such a thrill for her. She loved to pass on her wealth of knowledge on cleaning, power tools and just life in general to anyone who would listen. She loved wood working and was a gifted artist. Throughout Dawn's life, she touched the hearts of many friends, family, and animals. She was a registered nurse, and found so much pride and joy in serving others, even inspiring two of her nieces to go into the medical field. Her kindred spirit had a way of making you feel welcomed and at home and will live on in the lives of everyone she touched forever.
Dawn is survived by her daughter Kimberly (Casey) Miller and son Cody (Lindsey) Wilson; sister Marva (Mick) Cuoio; brothers Guy (Linda) Schein, Gary (MaryAnn) Schein; step-siblings Randy (Kris) Stewart, Gary (Shelia) Stewart, Jody Burton & Marjorie Stewart. She was also a proud "Gamma" to her two grandsons, Kasen and Fisher. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family, as well as, special people such as “Lifesaver” aka Cheri, and Mrs. Hansen to name a few who had made her life more wonderful throughout the years.
This special angel joined in heaven with her mother, Anna Mae, who passed on the same date 16 years ago. We truly believe her sweet mama was waiting for her and helped her into heaven. She also joins her father Marvin Schein, step dad Keith Stewart and dogs Isabela and Rex.
This world has lost a beautiful soul but heaven has now gained a beautiful angel.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time for all friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Idaho Commission of the Blind & Visually Impaired or Guide Dogs for the Blind in memory of our sweet angel.
