Debarah D. Crane

August 23, 1961 — April 17, 2025

Pocatello

Debarah Dawn Crane, 63, passed away on April 17, 2025.

Debarah was born August 23, 1961 the second child to Robert and Carol Tolman. She was raised in Pocatello with her 6 siblings. She loved living close to both sets of her grandparents. They enjoyed camping and spending time together.

Debbie attended Jefferson Elementary, Irving Junior High and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1979. She participated in several clubs and was the majorette leading the parade with her baton and knife throwing performances.

Just after high school, Debbie met Glenn and they eloped 4 short months later. They were sealed for time and all eternity the next year on Valentine’s Day. After a stint of living in Nevada, they returned to Idaho, eventually purchasing a home in the Tyhee Flats where they raised their 4 children over the last 36 years surrounded by wonderful friends and neighbors. She was a homemaker for several years before working for 23 years for the JR Simplot company.

Debbie is survived by her parents; 5 of her siblings; her husband, Glenn; and their children, Chana (Dave), Jenny (Eric), Derek (Katie) and Rachael (Adam); her wonderful grandchildren, Shayla (Cameron), Maya, Evelyn, Callie, Jaxson, Izzy, Tycen, Ares and Henry; as well as the new addition of her first great-grandchild Asher.

She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This association provided her service opportunities, including a couples mission to the Birmingham Alabama Mission from 2019-2021. She has held many different callings and loved each of them.

Debarah’s life on earth was too short for our wishes, but she had made peace with her devastating diagnosis. She loved to read and loved to learn taking various community taught classes throughout her life. She was kind-hearted, a great listener, a talented seamstress and quilter. She was one of a kind. She was funny and would often take you by surprise with her witty quips. She was a quiet source of strength without overwhelming you with her opinion. She was a wonderful sounding board and would help you work through your problems. She is leaving a legacy of love behind, as well as an overwhelming devastation with her passing.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 6-8 pm at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Rd. Chubbuck, Idaho 83202.
