DeeAnn G. Donahey passed away on Saturday May 3,2025, at the age of 71. She was born on March 12, 1954 in Pocatello, Idaho to Don and Donna Green and is the second of five siblings.
The first years of her life created a lifelong challenge with health due to an infected blood transfusion that gave her ITP, the inability to create blood clots. Due to the risk of bleeding internally she was limited with the activities in which she could engage. Although she had this obstacle in her life, she was always happy, optimistic and pressed forward.
She met the love of her life, Bill Donahey, at the McCammom Rodeo. They were sealed for time and all eternity on April 6, 1973 in the Ogden Utah Temple. They would build their life together in Pocatello.
Due to the risk of bleeding internally, her doctors told her she would never be able to have children but with faith and confidence in the Lord she pressed forward and proved them wrong, twice.
Her time and attention was always toward her family. She always made sure the house was clean and tidy and that dinner was on the table when dad got home from work. Though there were many days she struggled with not feeling well, she put her heart and soul into all that she did.
When she was not serving her family, she was ministering to others by fulfilling her callings and serving the best she could. She loved all she crossed paths with and never spoke ill of anyone.
She enjoyed tole painting, sewing, crocheting and attending Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. We are grateful to all who picked her up and took her to the meetings as she progressed with dementia.
As dementia began to become more prominent, our father was her main caregiver. Being the devoted husband he is, he was always by her side making sure she was comfortable and only wanted the best for her.
As her health further deteriorated, he turned to Caring Hearts and Grace Memory Care for the final days before her passing. We are grateful to them along with OneSource Hospice and palliative care for their devoted service in attending to her needs and making her and our family comfortable during this time.
DeeAnn is survived by her husband Bill Donahey; children Jason (Katrina) Donahey, Kim (Joey) De Los Reyes; grandchildren Kathy (Eric) Bingham, Maddy Donahey, Ethan Donahey, Raelyn De Los Reyes, Shari De Los Reyes, Kaitlyn (Dallin) De Los Reyes-Christiansen, Josiah De Los Reyes; and great-granddaughter Grace Bingham; brothers David (Barbara) Green, Alan l(Debra) Green; sisters Debbie Green and Lisa Cox; and sister-in-law Jacque (Barry) Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Donna Green; and father and mother-in-law, Chuck and Benita Donahey.
