Denise Booth Burrup was born on September 4, 1961 to Darrel and LoAine Booth. She died unexpectedly on November 22, 2023. Denise has 3 sisters and 4 brothers who will miss her dearly.
When she was young, she enjoyed going on trips with her family and camping. She liked to start water fights and pranks, which continued until she died. She attended Edahow, Hawthorne and graduated from Highland High School in 1979.
Denise married the love of her life, Jimmy (Jim) Wayne Burrup, on August 1, 1980 in the Idaho Falls Temple for time and all eternity. They spent 43 years together and were blessed to have three wonderful kids, Jessica, Lance, and Tracy. She was very supportive of her kids and attended many sporting and personal events for them.
She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent many years serving in Primary, Young Women, and the Scouting programs.
She was an avid hunter and photographer, and sometimes those two events got her into trouble. The outdoors were her playground. She loved to ride, whether it was a 4-wheeler, jet ski, motorcycle, snowmobile, or horses. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she spent many hours decorating and enjoying all that the holiday had to offer.
The most important part of her life was spending time with her 6 grandchildren. The grandkids learned to drive/ride the 4-wheeler in Lava. The last 2 years Denise and Jim were able to build their dream home in her favorite place, Lava Hot Springs. Her family was her top priority, and they will miss seeing her at all the family gatherings and events.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, and survived by her loving husband, Jimmy (Jim) Burrup; children, Jessica Lynn (Gary), Lance Burrup (Erin), and Tracy Chandler (Casey); and grandchildren, Alan Chandler, AnnaLee Chandler, Hunter Chandler, Charlie Burrup, Dylan Chandler, and Vanessa Burrup; her 3 sisters and 4 brothers; and many extended family members.
