Dennis Ray Gott, 67, formerly of Murtaugh, Idaho, went to be with Jesus on August 14, 2026.
He was born on February 21, 1959, to Jack and Arvilla Gott in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Dennis graduated from Murtaugh High School in 1977. He was active in football, basketball, and track, and also played church softball. He was also a Boy Scout and active in FFA. He could also be seen with twin brother Dan, cruising around Twin Falls in their 1967 Mercury Cougar! He also attended Idaho State University.
Dennis lived in the Magic Valley until he moved to Kooskia, Idaho in 1983. He moved back to the Magic Valley in 1993 and lived in various assisted living facilities in Southern and Eastern Idaho.
Dennis loved to bowl, play Uno, Yahtzee, Bingo, and he always enjoyed a good meal. His favorite being a cheeseburger and French fries with lots of ketchup! He made many friends over the years and loved to visit when people came to see him.
He loved his family dearly and enjoyed family gatherings and visits. With his infectious laugh he was often the center of attention, and he had the ability to make other people laugh.
He is survived by his sister, Jackie Boyd of Twin Falls, brother Mike (Dee Dee) Gott of Eden, brother Dan (Josie) Gott of Jerome, and Tim (Kory) Gott of New Meadows, Idaho, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Arvilla Gott, sister Barbara Gott, sister Beth Gott Mason, and sister Carol Quesnell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Wilks Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A viewing will be held (family will receive friends at a viewing) one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at the Twin Falls Cemetery in Twin Falls, Idaho.
