Donald Joseph Spiker was a steady presence – a man of quiet faith, hard work, and deep love for his family.
Born on February 12, 1952, in Pocatello, Idaho, Don was the youngest of nine children. From early on, he learned the value of perseverance, service, and loyalty – values that shaped the rest of his life. After high school, he proudly served for four years in the United States Air Force.
Don was a devoted husband and father. In 1988, he married Mary, and together they built a life rooted in commitment, laughter, and resilience for 37 years. He worked faithfully in many roles- driving feed trucks, managing long shifts in factories, and ultimately retiring after working more than two decades in American Falls.
At home, Don was happiest with a deck of cards in his hands (especially if he was winning), a jigsaw puzzle spread across the table, and family gathered close. In his later years, his heart found new joy in the quiet, tender moments spent with his granddaughter, Maylee.
Don lived with his eyes fixed on heaven. His faith in Jesus Christ was not loud but unwavering, and he longed for the day he would finally go home.
He is now reunited with those who went before him and rests in the promise he held onto his entire life. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply.
