Elizabeth Judith Carroll

February 15, 1935 — September 22, 2025

Pocatello

Elizabeth Judith “Judy” Carroll, 90, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Monday, September 22, 2025, in Pocatello, Idaho.

Judy was born February 15, 1935, Elizabeth Judy Stagg was born in Rockaway, New Jersey.

She grew up as an only child surrounded by lots of animals. Judy was very athletic and played the accordion. She was always dreaming of traveling the world. She manifested the life she wanted and met the man of her dreams on a blind date when she met Ed. Judy loved being a mom and raising her four children. They traveled the world on a shoestring.

Judy always had an inner light. She was a great daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and the most loyal of friends. Juju was our biggest cheerleader.

Judy was quietly competitive- She loved a good game - tennis, pickleball, golf, ping pong, rings or wordle/words with friends. It wasn’t a good day unless there was some competition involved. If the day was looking like there was no activity happening, she would grab someone and ask if they’d like a quick game of ping pong after dinner. She even installed a pickleball court in her garage.

Judy was fun. She could giggle at the most inappropriate time and get a whole room laughing. Her hand painted watercolor cards were always a coveted item to receive.

Judy taught her four kids many valuable lessons about being kind, working hard at being better, positivity, the value of a dollar, and how to live frugally and well.

And, Judy never turned down a good brownie ice cream sundae!

She enjoyed a good Hooley, playing the Uke and singing 5 foot 2, eyes are blue.. she will be missed. She lived a fabulous, simple, robust, complete life.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Carroll and her daughter Kathleen Carroll. She leaves her son, Tim Carroll (Jill) of Dana Point, CA, grandkids, Sean and Michael Carroll; Son, Mark Carroll (Kathleen) of wife Fort Collins CO, grand kids, Jack, Quinn and Fox Carroll; Daughter, Kelly Carroll Wathne (Richard) of Pocatello, ID, grandkids, Olivia, Delia, Ella, and Sabrina Wathne; Kathleen’s family, husband Moises, daughter Talia, Lauren and Matthew Elterman and great grandkids, Leo & Remi.
