Eva Elaine Carter

August 9, 1931 — October 5, 2025

Eva Elaine Robson Carter, 94, was born on August 9, 1931, at her grandparents’ home in Basalt, Idaho (Olive Crippen and Frank Robson’s place). Just a few years later, they moved to their newly built cinderblock home in Goshen, Idaho, where Eva grew up with her two brothers, Keith and Jerry, and her sister, LorRetta.

In 1949, Eva graduated from Firth High School and then went on to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse. She worked at Saint Anthony Hospital in Pocatello and graduated in 1951.

While in Pocatello, Eva met Ken Carter, and they got married in a small ceremony in Elko, Nevada, on April 9, 1951. Together, they lovingly raised two daughters, Brenda and Laurie.

Eva loved spending time outdoors with Ken, especially fishing and camping on the Salmon River. She was an artist when it came to refinishing antique furniture and sewing. Her lifelong friend, Helen Vigliaturo, was a true gem. They spent an incredible 69 years going to garage sales. They also made delicious treats like fudge, divinity, sugar cookies, date cookies, taffy, and peanut brittle at Christmas time.

Eva was proceeded in the death by her parents, Earl Frank Robson and Ethel Gertrude Styhl Robson, her husband Ken and her daughter Laurie Lee Carter Harding. She is survived by her beloved friend Helen Vigliaturo, her daughter Brenda Carter, her sister, LorRetta Drake, and four grandchildren Joe (Kris) Harding, Logan (Jade) Harding, Tanner (Kristen) Harding, and Tara (Jared) Hardinger and 15 great grandchildren.
