Gary Alan Hardin, 59, passed away October 15, 2025.
Gary Alan Hardin was born on December 21, 1965, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to David Ellsworth Hardin and Bonnie Louise Hruza Hardin and grew up in Rexburg, where he graduated from Madison High School, and later earned his two associate degrees in Electronic Technology and Computer Programming from Idaho State University and the College of Eastern Idaho.
On May 15, 1993, Gary married the love of his life, Bonnie. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and countless memories over 32 wonderful years. They raised three children — Tiffani, Brittney, and Tyler — who were his pride and joy. Gary’s heart grew even fuller when he became “Papa” to his grandchildren, Tatum, Hudson, and Beckham, children of Tiffani and her husband, Gibson Klaus.
Gary dedicated more than thirty years to his career with the FBI, where his hard work, calm presence, and commitment made a lasting impact. His work took him around the world, but no matter where he went, his heart was always with his family.
At home, Gary was happiest surrounded by the people he loved — whether he was on a family vacation, camping under the stars, or working on a new home project. He was known for his warm smile, gentle spirit, and the way he could make anyone feel at ease.
Gary’s kindness, humor, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him. He was not only a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, but also a loyal friend and mentor to many. His presence brought light and comfort, and his memory will continue to do the same for all who loved him.
The love he gave will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Bonnie Hardin; their three children, Tiffani (Gibson Klaus) Hardin, Brittney Hardin, and Tyler Hardin; and his cherished grandchildren, Tatum, Hudson, and Beckham. He is also survived by his siblings, Brent (Raelene) Hardin, Mike (Rose) Hardin, Lynette (Nate) Hardin LaGrone, Carol (Tommy) Hardin Walker, and Scott (Denielle Bush) Hardin, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Bonnie Hardin.
