Craig Allred

Craig Allred, 79, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026, from natural causes.

Craig was raised in Monterey, California, during his early childhood until his father moved the family to Caldwell, Idaho, in 1954. He continued his education and graduated from the College of Western Idaho with a degree in Medical Illustration. Following school, Craig enjoyed a long career in insurance and securities sales.

On May 17, 1975, Craig married the love of his life, Alta. Together, they raised their six children in Twin Falls and built a life filled with family, laughter, and many memories.

Craig was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Some of his favorite times were spent outdoors with his 21 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing his love of the outdoors with the generations that followed him.

Craig lived a life of generosity and service. During his years as a Boy Scout leader, he enjoyed mentoring young boys and making a difference in their lives. He also donated countless hours to organizations and charities, including Meals on Wheels and the Red Mist Society.

Craig will be dearly missed by his wife, Alta; his children, David McBride of Jerome, Idaho; Sheldon Brimley of Twin Falls, Idaho; Wade Allred of Jamestown, North Dakota; Forrest Allred of Twin Falls, Idaho; Gaileen Allred of Magna, Utah; and Quinton Allred of Twin Falls, Idaho; as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many friends who were fortunate enough to know him.

Craig's family will remember him for his love of the outdoors, his generous heart, his willingness to serve others, and the memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who knew him. Although, scores of fish and wildlife probably won't miss him quite as much.

A visitation will be held at 10:30 am till 12:30 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Wilks Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A luncheon will follow after the visitation at Wilks Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301., followed by a time of sharing a meal and memories in honor of Craig.
