Harvey Dean Partner, 84, passed away on May 14th, 2026 surrounded by his wife, Sharleen and loved ones.

Harvey was born July 2, 1941 to Dale Partner and Lillian Kreiter in Pocatello, Idaho. He was the oldest and only son. His sisters Doris, Lois, and Zee joined the family over the years.

Harvey graduated from Pocatello High School in 1959. He attended ISU and graduated with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he continued working at Partner Steel Co. with his father and Uncle Paul. He became the owner and manager of Partner Steel Co. in 1982 until he retired in January of 2006.

Harvey married Maxine Nielson in 1969 and with that union, he embraced Maxine's children Trina and Clint Hernandez.

Harvey then married the love of his life, Sharleen Partner on June 29, 1981. They had a wonderful (almost) 45 years together. Sharleen brought 3 children into the marriage; Tammy, Laurie and Kevin. Harvey had no biological children of his own but he loved and cared for Tammy, Laurie, Kevin, Trina, Clint, their spouses and all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren as if they were his own. We never questioned his love and support for us.

Harvey led a busy but fulfilling life. In his younger years, he raced stock cars, many of which he built himself. Harvey won many races and a couple of championships. He participated in the Pocatello Stock Car Racing Association and the Pocatello Lions Club.

Harvey loved the outdoors. He enjoyed white water rafting and spent many years taking trips on different rivers. When those years ended, he and Sharleen found their love of four-wheeling. He took pride in developing and building their Little Lost property, where Harvey, Sharleen, and family spent many years camping and going on four-wheeling adventures.

After Harvey's retirement, he and Sharleen bought a place in Salome, AZ and became Snowbirds, heading down each winter. He enjoyed the warm weather and going on adventures in their side-by-side with Sharleen and their friends in the community.

Harvey was such a kind, loving, selfless husband, dad, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife, Sharleen Partner; his children: Laurie (Eric) Robinson, Kevin (Becca) Pickens, George Johnson, Trina Hernandez, Clint Hernandez; sisters: Doris (Roy) Inskeep, Zee (Amos) Mouser, and Lois Armstrong as well as 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dale and Lillian Partner, his daughter Tammy Johnson, and a great grandson, Jack Wright.

The family wants to share their appreciation to the caregivers at Grace Memory Care and to Kim and the nurses with Symbii Hospice for all of their love and care for Harvey. A very special, heartfelt thank you to Shylo Sweitzer for her many years of coming to help Sharleen care for Harvey.
