Harvey Leroy Pickens

Harvey Leroy Pickens, 84, passed away on January 12, 2026.

He was born on April 28, 1941. He graduated from Pocatello High School and then attended trade school in Dayton, OH for NCR (National Cash Register). He was the owner of Pickens Electronics. Harvey lived in Pocatello and Idaho Falls, and was an avid supporter of Idaho State University. He came from a long line of builders that helped build his dream home in 1971, where he lived until his passing.

Harvey married Cheryl Honas, and together they had three children, Michael, Camille, and Thomas. They later divorced. He was also married to Brenda Brennaman. They later divorced.

He loved hunting and fishing, collecting coins, guns and southwestern art. He also loved horse racing and was an avid lover of animals. Harvey was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and Pheasants Forever.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert “Beano” (Jean) Pickens and Ronald Pickens, both of Pocatello, Idaho; children, Michael Pickens, Camille (Tom) Aikens and Thomas (Angela) Pickens, all of Pocatello, Idaho; grandchildren, Ashley (Jake) Patrick, Heather (Nathan), Knibbs, Andrew Aikens, Chad (Felicia) Fogerson, Christopher Pickens, Cayston (Tesia) Pickens, Alyssa Pickens; thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Blanche Pickens and four brothers, Eugene, Kenneth, Lenard and Dennis Pickens.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID. Visitation will be held prior beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow the service at Mountain View Cemetery.
