Hildagarde Fisher, 84, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in the presence of her loving family. Hilda was born on January 6, 1940, in Chadron Nebraska to Jacob and Maggie Nielsen. She grew up in her family home with four brothers and seven sisters.
Hilda enjoyed many things in life. Her passions were handwork, including crochet, needlepoint, knitting, and sewing. She also loved to bake goodies for all of her family to enjoy, fresh baked bread could always be found on the counter. Some of her happiest moments were spent in Island Park. She enjoyed going on walks and picking wildflowers with her husband, and time spent with all of the family. Holidays were also very important to Hilda. The house was always decorated on Christmas and Halloween. Everyone in the neighborhood would come over to enjoy.
She married her loving husband Ferrin Fisher on March 31, 1961. Together they had nine children, Twenty grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. Hilda loved being surrounded by all of her grandchildren and loved to play card games and teach them all how to crochet.
Hildagarde is survived by three daughters, Pauline, Lorianne, and Jenny; four sons, Thayne, Todd, Scott, and Chad; and her three sisters, Noni, Rwilda, and Saundra. She is also survived by her twenty grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferrin, daughter, LaWanna, and her son, Jace, four brothers, four sisters, and a great-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Smithfield City Cemetery, 300 E. Center Street in Smithfield, UT 84335.
Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Chapel 2005 S 4th Ave Pocatello, Idaho and memories and condolences may be shared with the family below.
