Irma Fonseca Browning, aged 76, passed away on April 5th, 2025. She was born in Hidalgo, Texas to Pablo and Teofila Fonseca.

Irma grew up in Southeast Idaho, and a majority of her life was spent raising her family in Pocatello, Idaho.

She is survived by 3 siblings, 10 children, 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 cherished cats. Irma married Lloyd Lynn Browning in 1966; they were married for 50 years at the time of his death in 2016.

Having grown up farming, she had a green thumb and enjoyed working in her garden. She was often defined by her skills as a seamstress. In fact, sewing the outerwear for the Jamaican Bobsled Team in 1992 was a little-known highlight of her career. And, according to her children, is one of the greatest cooks to have ever lived. Her recipes are impossible to recreate because she never really measured - a sign of a wonderful cook.

A memorial for family and close friends will take place this summer.
