Jacob Dewaine Reynolds

Jacob Dewaine Reynolds, 31, passed away on July 22, 2026.

Jacob was born on the 25th of September in 1994. Jacob came home from the hospital to his Grandma and Grandpa’s home with his mom to reside all his life on Broadway Street. Jacob made a lot of friends in that neighborhood along with very many friends throughout his whole life through school, work, or wherever he happened to be. Jacob went to school in Pocatello, attending the Head Start program, Bonneville and Indian Hills Elementaries, Franklin Middle School, Century High School, and New Horizon, graduating in 2013.

Jacob adored his family and friends, considering most of his friends as family, including Ryan Olsen, Timmy Iverson, Shorty and Carrie Wurtz, Brenda and Rodney Thomas, and his family, Darold (Booger) Stricklin and Andrea Sanders and her family and precious daughters.

Jacob loved video games, going to raves with Ryan, music, collecting Pokémon cards, and as a child, playing T-ball and baseball. Jacob was a critic when it came to a cheeseburger and whatever potato was cooked for him.

Jacob is survived by his mom, Carrie Reynolds of Pocatello, ID; his dad, Jeremy Smith; his aunt, Jody Otteson of Pocatello, ID; his uncle Danny Otteson of Pocatello, ID; his cousins, Timaree (Nels) Garberg and Addison Garberg of Las Vegas, NV; twin in life, Taylor Gomez, Zachary and Jen Gomez, and Rayleen Gomez of Pocatello, ID; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Reynolds, his rock, Rayleen Reynolds, and Grandma Arlene; great grandparents, Dewaine and Jean Jensen; and his good friend, Darold (Booger) Stricklin, passing just a year ago by the same fate as Jacob.

We love you, Jacob, and will miss you terribly.
