Jerrod Dean Waldron, 42, of Inkom, Idaho, passed away on September 3, 2026, from injuries sustained in an industrial accident.
Jerrod was born on June 14, 1984, to Teresa Darner Waldron. He spent his early years in Inkom before venturing out into the world. He lived in Wyoming for approximately 12 years, making his home in Jackson, Alpine, Thayne, and Bedford. He also spent time in Texas before eventually returning home to Inkom.
From the very beginning, Jerrod had a curious and adventurous spirit. As a baby, the curious look on his face earned him the affectionate nickname “Little Man.” As he grew, his love of tinkering, fixing things, and taking engines and other things apart earned him two more fitting titles: “Sarge” and “MacGyver.”
Jerrod attended Marsh Valley High School until his junior year, when he transferred to Highland High School. While there, he came close to breaking the school’s track record. He later obtained his GED.
Jerrod was an exceptionally hard worker and had a natural gift for helping others. If something was broken, he wanted to fix it. If something needed to be figured out, he would tinker with it until he understood how it worked. He was always willing to lend a hand, whether someone needed something repaired, needed help getting back on their feet, or simply needed a friend. Jerrod often tried to save others before saving himself.
Jerrod had a kind and beautiful heart. He loved letting his guard down, being goofy, and making people laugh. He had a real knack for karaoke and, much to the delight of those around him, was actually pretty good at it.
Jerrod loved the great outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, golfing, horseshoes, and playing pool with his friends. He had many passions, but two of the greatest loves of his life were his daughter, Cora Jean, and his banjo.
Jerrod’s lifelong dream was to become a father. On April 20, 2016, that dream came true when he and Becky were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Cora Jean. Cora was the sunshine in his soul and held a very special place in his heart. Being her dad was one of the greatest joys of Jerrod’s life.
Jerrod will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his curiosity, his willingness to help anyone in need, his goofy sense of humor, and above all, his beautiful heart. He leaves behind countless memories and a lasting impact on the many people whose lives he touched.
Jerrod is survived by his mother, Teresa Waldron of Inkom; his siblings, Ladean Brooks, Randal L.
