It is with great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, the Torres, Apodaca, Williams and Ballard families announce the passing of our kind, brave, caring and unimaginably generous son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend, Jesus “Jess” Torres, Jr. Jess passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in Idaho Falls, with his beloved family by his side, Jess was 54.

A Traditional Tent Viewing will be held at 212 Ballard Road in Fort Hall, Idaho, from Monday, July 17, 2023 at 2 pm until Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 2 pm. Jess will then be taken to the Bannock Creek Cemetery in Arbon Valley, Idaho for traditional burial services starting at 2 pm.

Casket Bearers are Jess’s beloved family and friends.

Jess was born on April 27, 1969, in Polk City, Florida and was a resident of Fort Hall Reservation. He was a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe.

Jess loved being with family and friends, enjoying activities with them as well as Jess enjoyed cooking and hairdressing.

Preceding Jess in death are Willard Ballard, Katie Ballard, and Buelah Ballard Hernandez; and friends.

Jess is survived by his sister, Daphne Apodaca and his other sister, Cideahzah Ramon; his best friend Logan Wolf; all those who loved him dearly and held a deep admiration for him; his wonderful extended family and friends.
