Another beautiful soul has returned home
Dianne was the first daughter born to T.J. Wilkes and Claire (Kunckel) Wilkes. She was welcomed by her big brother David. Later the family grew with another daughter Candice Wilkes and little brother Paul Wilkes. Dianne was raised in Twin Falls out in the country side. She loved the country life style and the joy it brought to her during her life; raising animals, tilling the earth, bee keeping, camping, fishing, hiking, growing vegetables and flowers. Her favorite time was the harvest season. Dianne even had a flair for art and created several pieces that will be cherished by her children. Her most talked about time was being with her best friend, her father, T.J Wilkes. She often told of the lessons she learned and the adventures they had shared.
Dianne graduated from Twin Falls H.S. in 1969. Later following her dream to be a nurse. She graduated from I.S.U. with her Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Dianne loved being a nurse. She worked for 40 plus years in various nursing positions. Comfort,and care were her trademark!! She loved educating her patients and all who wanted to learn. Dianne spoke often about her love and respect she had for her coworkers. She frequently told stories of their experiences together. She would laugh until the tears would run down her face and, oh, how she cherished them!
She married John Cox in 1981. From this union Dianne realized her greatest dream, becoming a Mother. Daughter Mary Michelle was born September 18,1983 followed by her son, Justin Mitchell, born December 25 1984. Then her secret love were the 4 grand children she was blessed with; Alaina, Kaden, Alec, and Matilda. She enjoyed and cherished every chance she was given with them.
At the time of her passing she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle Cox, and her children grandaughter Alaina, grandsons Kaden and Alec of Twin Falls and her son Justin Cox and his daughter Matilda of Boise, sister Candice and Todd Marshall and their daughter Clarrissa of Nampa, Paul and Melinda Wilkes and ther children Matt, Mathew, Amanda and Zach of Chalis Washinton, and her brother's son Soloman Wilkes of Jerome.
Dianne was proceeded in death by her parents and brother David Wilkes DDS.
No services will be held as per Dianne's request. Condolences can be sent to Wilks Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls.
