Karan Ann Robinson Fallis passed gracefully from this earth on August 5, 2025. She leaves behind a strong legacy of love and compassion.
Karan was born November 3, 1943 to parents Ellis and Edith Robinson. Along with 7 siblings; Bud and Charlene Robinson, Guy and Sharon Robinson, Cal and Janice Robinson, Dorothy and Wayne Hansen, Shirley Hansen, Jay and Vicki Robinson, and Jack and Gaila Robinson, she spent her early life in the cherished family home in Basalt Idaho. She graduated from Firth High School where she made many lifelong friends. Ms Ella Brewington was with her to the very end.
In 1964, she married Jerry Lee Barrington and they made their home in Blackfoot Idaho..
Her most prized accomplishments came from this union in the form of 5 children. Tony and Deby Barrington, David and Candice Barrington, Bonnie and Kevin Lundquist, Brenda Barrington and Kristen Barrington. Above all else, she cherished her children and the pride and love she felt for them was shown daily.
Jerry’s sister, Shirlene & Chuck Lewis became one of her dearest friends and remained a very close member of the family.
After her divorce, Karan was reintroduced to a friend, Gary Wayne Fallis Sr. They were married on November 22, 1985 and they made their home in Pocatello.
Her children blessed her with 4 grandchildren; Makenzie Barrington, Ryne and Brooke Barrington, Ashlee and Ben Hunsaker, and Cathy and Tamsyn Barrington as well as 6 great-grandchildren; Remington, Krew, Kannon, Ryatt, Maddie, and Hazen Ann.
Gary brought two children into the family - Barbara Fallis and Gary Wayne Fallis Jr & Joy Puckett, grandchildren Drew Selman and Brandy & Scott Mascetti with children Kailey, Maddison and Benjamin and Ana Elizabeth & Julio Rascon with children Angel, Emmanuel, Eiden, Eriana & Oscar with children Aylanni and Evan.
Karan worked much of her life in the food service industry. She worked for Aunt Fanny’s Restaurant in Blackfoot and later purchased the business along with Edith Newman. She was a cook at State Hospital South in Blackfoot and then the dietary director for the Idaho State Veteran’s Home in Pocatello when she retired.
Karan was a cherished member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a strong testimony of her Heavenly Father, and served in numerous positions throughout her life.
Karan and Gary fed their love of the outdoors with summers filled with travel and exploration in their camper. They also had a large yard that Karan loved to plant and care for. She had beautiful flowers and a magnificent vegetable garden. After Gary’s passing, she loved to sit on her patio to relax.
Karan was a kind and giving person. She had a beautiful soul and loved taking care of her family. Not a visit went by without several offers for a meal. She would do absolutely anything for her friends and family if it was within her power. So it was a great shock when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. With grace and strength, she fought hard to overcome the disease and was cleared in 2020. It was devastating to find out in 2025 that cancer had returned with a force that she could not overcome.
The family would like to thank the many church members, friends, and family who took time to spend precious moments with her and the Enhabit hospice team that took such good care of her. To Bonnie and Kristen, we love you so much for the around-the-clock care you gave to mom.
Karan is proceeded in death by her siblings Bud & Charlene, Cal & Janice and Dot & Wayne, her husbands, her parents, her daughter-in-law Candi and her beautiful baby girl, Brenda.
