Karen Marie Vaughn

Karen Marie Vaughn, 58, passed away on January 7, 2026.

Karen was born on March 6, 1967, in Pocatello, Idaho to Michael and Eleanor Vaughn. She attended Wilcox Elementary School, Hawthorne Jr. High School, and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1985. She obtained degrees in childcare and culinary arts from Idaho State University.

Karen worked for the State of Idaho as a Self-Reliance Specialist for the Department of Health and Welfare. She loved her work and built close friendships with those she worked with. She loved spending time with friends and family, and she had a deep love for her many pets. She also loved reading, especially fantasy fiction novels.

She is survived by her father, Michael Vaughn.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Vaughn and her brother, David Vaughn.
