Katherine "Kay" M Chambers

Katherine "Kay" Mary Naylor Chambers, 93, passed away peacefully at a long term care facility on January 16, 2020 in Pocatello, ID. Kay was born in Peekskill, NY on October 18, 1926 to Nellie Wynn McLean Naylor and George Frederick Naylor Sr. She was the oldest child in a family of four siblings: Nellie Winifred Evans, David Arthur Naylor, George F Naylor Jr. (dec.) Kay married the love of her life, Delbert Dale Chambers Sr. on Jan 1st, 1951. They were married for 53 years before Dels passing in 2004. During that time, this loving woman was the mother of 4 children: Delbert Dale Jr, Warrensburg, NY, Dean Chambers, Pocatello, ID, Dawn Chambers, Chestertown, NY, and Drina Kay Chambers (dec.), Troy, NY. Additionally, she was the grandmother for six children and great-grandmother for three more children as well as nieces and nephews. Kay, or Nonna as her grandchildren called her, was always ready with a quick smile. She was a great listener and a great giver of hugs. She loved pancakes, word seek puzzles, and her family. She was active in her church, Pioneer Bible Baptist Church and was enjoyed her time teaching Sunday school and being a member of that community. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 2 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID, with a viewing for one hour prior. Interment will be the following day, Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 3 pm at at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
