Kent Shigeo Sakurada, 61, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on September 19, 2025.
He was born in Pocatello to Shigt and Lyda Sakurada. He grew up in Pocatello, attended Pocatello High School, and spent his life in the community he loved.
As a child, he enjoyed bingo and collecting toy cars and trucks. Later in life, his hobbies included baseball and basketball games, card games, fishing for over 30 years, and spending time at the Senior Citizens Building. He also took pride in helping others, whether it was building small projects, mowing lawns, or pitching in with family yard work.
He shared a happy life with his partner of 30 years, Robin Kuhn.
He is survived by his brothers Kevin Sakurada (Rocutello, ID) and Marvin Cox (Pocatello, ID), as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren who will carry on his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shigt and Lyda Sakurada, and his brother Tracy Sakurada.
The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to his best friend and cousin, Lee Smith, and the many friends and family who supported and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 4 p.m. 1156 N. Arthur Ave. Pocatello ID, 83204
