Kevin Bret Van Sickle

Kevin Bret Van Sickle received his promotion into heaven on February 7, 2026.

Bret was born to Terry and Barbara VanSickle on September 11, 1959, in Pocatello, ID. Bret grew up in Pocatello where he learned the value of family and a hard day’s work.

Bret had many hobbies and his favorites were fishing, hunting, working on cars, trucks and motocross (dirt bikes) and road bikes, which he enjoyed riding as well. His Mustang was his pride and joy. He was an avid bowler and participated in bowling leagues. He had a large collection of computers which he would fix, build, and rebuild. Later in life, he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was known to be one of the best operators in Pocatello and surrounding areas.

Bret maintained his sobriety for 40 years, which was very important to him.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara; his sister, Teresa Van Sickle; and two daughters, Brandi and Ciara; and grandchildren.

Bret is preceded in death by his father, Terry VanSickle.

Per Bret’s request, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life will be held sometime this summer.
