Kimberly “Kimmi” Larsen Carlsen passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a family who cherished her deeply and will carry her memory forward always.

Kimberly was born in Ogden, Utah and spent her early years there before moving to American Falls and later settling in Pocatello, Idaho, which she proudly called home. She attended Emerson Elementary, Irving Junior High, and Pocatello High School. During high school, she worked at Price’s Corner and later dedicated the rest of her career to AMI, where she was known for her strong work ethic and reliability.

On August 5, 2016, Kimberly married Dennis Carlsen in Elko, Nevada. Their life together was built on love, companionship, and shared memories.

Family was the center of Kimberly’s world. She adored her grandchildren and took immense pride in her role as a mother, wife, sister, and grandmother. She found joy in scenic drives, especially trips to the American Falls Reservoir where she loved sunbathing and soaking in the peace of nature. Kimberly also enjoyed diamond art, crocheting, reading and spending time at the family cabin in Island Park, a special place built by her father and filled with meaningful memories.

Kimberly is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Carlsen of Pocatello, ID; her son, Morgan Crockett of Idaho Falls, ID; her daughter, Chantel Chacon of Pocatello, ID; her son-in-law, Tyrone Chacon Jr. of Pocatello, ID; her step-daughter, Cassidy Case of Harrison, AR; her step-sons Lyam, Tatum, and Jet Case of Harrison, AR; her sister, Denise Ballard of Pocatello, ID; her brother, LaMar Larsen of Pocatello, ID; and her sister, Jodi Larson of Kuna, ID. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harlow Larsen; her mother, Sharon Buttars Larsen; her sister, Terry Newsom; her step-granddaughter, Thea Case; her beloved dog, Megan; and her cherished cat, Lacy.

Kimberly will be remembered for her love of family, her gentle spirit, and the quiet ways she showed her care for others. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

A viewing will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Wilks Colonial Chapel, 2005 S 4th Avenue, Pocatello, ID.
